Guest guest
, We have been using glutathione for almost 2 years now, and what a difference it made in (almost 8) in the initial 6 months stage. It was suggested by Shaw, ( & our DAN! Doc) The doctor had us start him at 50 mg glutathione, and increase by 50 mg every 2 weeks until we reached approx. 200 mg because of his decreased pyroglutamic levels & Increased aconitic levels. We were also suggested to use alpha lipoic acid & N-acetyl cysteine. We used each supplement separately, though you can get it all combined in a product called Thiodox. We saw subtle changes in , like better eye contact & less rigid in routine, but he also became increasingly hyper. We reduced NAC and the hyperactivity subsided. He did not appear to have earth shattering results at first, but after we ran out of gluthione once, (for about a week), he had a terrible regression.. Then we realized, it was helping him more than we had thought. 9 months later we had another OAT run, and his pyroglutamic levels were in the normal range. Since then we have played with the dosage, and now he receives glutathione (100mg) every other day and Alpha-lipioc acid (100mg)every other day...alternating days. When we run out of what we have, we plan on dropping back to 50 mg each doing the same rotation and eventually weaning him off, (of course followed by another OAT to make sure his levels remain constant) Hopefully his body is making his own glutathione now...we will see. Interestingly enough, back then, I had no knowledge of the heavy metals issues in our children, but since then have spent a lot of time researching it, seems ALA & Glut. are both excellent metal detox agents, and looking back at his behavior when we started, he could have very well have been detoxing. ( I remember a very weird urine odor as well.) That's our story in a nut shell...I wish you luck. Lori in NE

Could this explains why my daughter did not do well on Thiodox( it has all three Glutathione, ALA, and NAC)? I only tried may be two days and then stopped. Why you decided to rotate between Glutathione and ALA? Which brands did you use? Thanks mt
