Guest guest
, Take your son along with you on your honeymoon. He will only be 6 months old and not walking yet. That means that he won't be much trouble and he will still be sleeping lots and lots. We have taken our young babies with us on special get-aways and while a little inconvienent, it is still possible and has its romantic moments. Another option is to hire a babysitter to go along with you. We did that once when we went to Disneyland. We went as a family but at night when we wanted to see it just the two of us, our friend stayed at the hotel with the little ones. Cherie (Mother of 10/9 living, nursing nonstop for 18 1/2 years) intro Hi, guys. Thought I'd introduce myself. My name is . I had my first child, , on Oct. 22. So, he's 3 mo now. He's 14 1/2 lb, 25 inches long, and can already roll over. He's doing very well. I am breast-feeding and he refuses to take a bottle for longer than maybe 2 minutes if you're lucky. I'm getting married on April 30, and we probably won't be able to go on a honeymoon because of the bfing. I am a stay-at-home-mom. I have had something of a tough time adjusting to motherhood, but am enjoying it, nevertheless.

Guest guest
<< Well I have been lurking but figured it was time to introduce myself. My name is Cristina and I am a SAHM to who was born on June 22, 1998. I am 35 years old and a transplanted San Franciscan who now lives in Siena Italy. Welcome Cristina!! I'm Dana, sahm to Philip ph, born 9/17/97. is the joy of my life. We have tried giving her a little food (rice cereal, apples, yams) but she prefers mommy milk. We aren't going to rush solids. If she wants some I am sure she will let us know LOL. I feel the same way! Philip is the joy of my life too!!! We also, didn't rush solids. They eat when their ready. : ) We kind of fell in to AP style parenting. I saw in the hospital after she was born that she barely cried where as all of the other babies cried all of the time. I realized that of the 20 babies there, she was the only one that roomed in. She was never away from me (and my milk factory) so she was always content. When we came home from the hospital we put her to bed in her crib but had it set up as a sidecar. For the first month I would get up and go to the living room to feed her but I got tired of getting up 3 and 4 times in the night and then having to get her to go back to sleep since she thought it was fun to get up. After that I just moved her to our bed (crib is now a sofa) and when she is hungry, she rolls over and eats. She still eats about 2 or 3 times during the night but we never really wake up. Phil and I practice AP also. We love it!! Phil roomed in with us in the hospital and I wouldn't have it any other way! I love being so clsoe and " attached " to my baby!! : ) I was very nervous about being a first time mom in a country far away from my own but I got lots of help from a list over at Pregnancy Today. Italy and other countries do differ but I deal with it. Breast is pushed in the hospitals but most women give up too quickly to please their mothers and MILs. My MIL would like nothing better than for me to start on bottles so that she can babysit but little does she know, she will never babysit until can talk and tell me what goes on. I am going to keep my little girl next to me for as long as I can. This time passes so quickly. I agree! I can't believe Philip is almost 17 months already!! He's growing up too fast!!! Anyway, this is probably too long. I hope to get to know all of you soon. Cristina >> I look forward to getting to know you! Dana : )

Guest guest
Jenn, Thanks unique was one of my main criteria. I really like both of their names. Although my dd always wants to change her name to Katy because people know that name. She doesn't like having a unique name. I hope she learns to appreciate it later.
