Dear Colleagues,

 

HIV Medicine is growing day by day. Newer inputs are pouring like anything. I am

sure every one of us is going to meet HIV related problems in our day to day

practice of any walk. Keeping all these in mind, Peace Trust, Tirunelveli and

AIDS Society of India, Mumbai are jointly organizing a CME programme exclusively

on the latest aspects of HIV Clinical medicine to cope up with needs of a

practitioner who provides care to an individual living with HIV/AIDS or who

intends to treat the same in future. Speakers with tremendous experience in the

field HIV clinical management are brought from various parts our country for the

benefit of learned audients.

 

Dr Maniar from Mumbai is consulting HIV Physician, Jaslok Hospital, Saifee

Hospital, Bhatia Hospital and H.N. Hospital, Mumbai, Professor of

Dermatovenereology,K.J.Somaiya Medical College and former Professor of

Dermatovenereology HIV Medicine, Grant Medical College, Mumbai. Moreover he is

an invited resource person in any national and international HIV forums.

Dr.I.S.Gilada, Secretary General, AIDS Society of India, HON. Secretary, Peoples

Health Organization, Editor in Chief, AIDS ASIA, Consultant in HIV /AIDS, MD,

Unison Medicare and Research Center, Mumbai.

CMC Vellore apart from its wonderful reputation among the World Class Hospitals,

it is the institution from where the first case of HIV disease in India was

investigated and revealed in the year 1986. The credit goes to Dr. ,

Professor of Microbiology of CMC, Vellore. Now the Institution offers a one year

Fellowship Course on HIV Medicine. Most of the ART Medical Officers all over the

country are the products of CMC, Vellore.

Three speakers including Dr.Anand Zacharia, Professor of Medicine & Course

Co-ordinator of FHM, Dr.Jessy Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology,

Dr.Lakshmisha Chandrasekar, Dermatovenereolgist from CMC, Vellore had kindly

accepted to enlighten us.

 

Dr.Lathika, Pediatrician from Trissur Medical College is well versed in her

subject and one of the Resource Person in all NACO Trainings on Pediatric  HIV.

Dr.Murugan retired Professor & HOD, Govt Tirunelveli Medical College and

Govt.MohanKumaramangam Medical College, Salem, Consultant HIV Physician and

Medical Superintendent Shifa Hospitals, Chief Medical Officer, Peace Trust,

Former Part Time Consultant for TANSACS and Consultant for APAC, Chennai.

Dr.Anburajan had also rich clinical experience in HIV Medicine and he himself a

Fellow in HIV medicine from CMC Vellore. His experience as an office bearer of

IMA Private Nursing Home Board, South Zone Biomedical Waste Disposal Project and

as a Director of a NGO working in the field of HIV prevention, Care and Support

since 1997, will definitely reflect in his topics.
