Guest guest
Hi , Everyone here on the list uses a disposable pen, but if you now have syringes and do not want to start with the pens, as Mark M mentioned before there is the Count-a-Dose. That is what I use and am very happy with it. It is simple to use and I have been using it for years with no problems. It is also used by counting the amount of clicks. Each click is one unit. It is two pieces, with the main part being a rectangular shape with the syringe being held on the left side and a dial on the right side. The insulin is held by a T bar which can hold two different insulins and slides into a hole in the top when the needle is uncapped. The T-bar is also marked in Braille. I mark my first bottle bottom with masking tape in case it ever falls out. You then start to count units by turning the dial and the platform holding the plunger draws in the insulin. I use a 50 unit Count-a-Dose unit. As Dave said - It's all up to you and what you want to choose. Ruth
