Also please find the job description below; Designation:Medical Supervision Specialist Reports to: Area Program Manager Location: Madurai Position Purpose: Working in collaboration with NACO, PSI is implementing a public-private partnership model for STI and RTI service delivery. Under this initiative, PSI will create and support a franchise of private health care providers (allopathic & non " allopathic) for enhancing availability of quality STI/RTI services. Components of this model include mapping, training, franchising, providing mentoring and technical support to the identified providers for improved curative and/or preventive STI/RTI services. This model will also include branding and communication for demand generation of STI/RTI services with the franchised providers; and social marketing of pre-packaged treatment kits. The MTS will play an important role in the training and supportive supervision team of this program. S/he is responsible for conducting training and providing mentoring support to franchised doctors in coordination with faculty members from government medical colleges. Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate and plan the trainings for the identified private providers. 2. Coordinate with faculty members from medical colleges/ other doctors and participate as a key trainer to conduct the induction and refresher trainings (once in a year) for the franchised private doctors (allopaths and non-allopaths). 3. Make plan and provide personal support to the franchised doctors through support visits to their clinics. For allopaths, these visits are to be made once every 2 months. 4. Collect STI/RTI data from the franchised clinics in the prescribed format. 5. Provide inputs to the sales team for making pre packed treatment kits, provided by NACO, available in and around the franchised clinics. 6. Analyze the data collected from individual providers to evaluate the quality of services. 7. Maintaining records of training, visits and health care providers’ performance and sending timely data to state offices via internet/data entry in periodic intervals as requested. 8. Assess the number of STI/RTI cases treated and/or counseled and the quality of service provided by the franchised providers . 9. Ensure franchised providers are meeting and maintaining quality standards as outlined in NACO's national guidelines on prevention, management and control of RTIs/STIs. 10. Working with the team, plan and implement improvements in technical inputs to the franchised providers, based on information gathered during support visits.
