Guest guest
Dear Forum, I am a 23 year old Biomedical Sciences graduate looking to start a Masters in Global Health and Development next September. I have taken a year before further study to gain some experience in the NGO sector by working for Oxfam in the Campaigns and Policy Directorate. I am in Oxford until February, and am then looking to move to India where I hope to assist someone with their research project. My dissertation looked into the use of microbicides as a female-controlled prevention method, but my interest in global health issues are wide-ranging.. I am particularly interested in health systems, economics of power, cultural challenges that hinder access to prevention methods and assessing the work of grassroots projects in comparison to large scale, country-wide NGO plans. I would like to further my experience in this field, and am therefore asking the forum if they knew of someone, or indeed they themselves are involved in a research project that is willing to take on a very enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer!
