Guest guest
Hi everyone. I hope you are all having a great weekend! I have a question for you all. How do you recognize the sigh? I have been doing IE for about 3 weeks and I am still not sure what the sigh is. I guess I need to pay more attention. I have read Intuitive Eating and I am in the process of reading 2 Geneen Roth books. I also got Thin Within Friday due to all the great messages I saw about it on here. I appreciate any help! Thanks! Guest guest
Well I have to say the sigh took me a while to recognize about a month or two I didn't even realize I sighed until everyone talked about it on here and then I started being more aware and sure enough one day I noticed I had sighed when I was satisfied. Guest guest
For me at least, the sigh is just a little soft sigh (just like any sigh you have when thinking of something nice or taking a momentary pause to reflect, NOT like the sigh when you are frustrated at someone/something, the heavy sigh). It's kind of hard to catch at first because it's so small and soft, but if you are really paying attention you will notice it. You just kind of pause and sigh, and that's your body saying "I've had enough, I'm good now for awhile". As someone who sighs a LOT (mostly the secondary "heavy sigh") it took me a bit to figure out that I wasn't frustrated AT something but that it was a body signal (although that helped me figure it out, as I was trying to figure out what I was frustrated with and it dawned on me "THAT's the signal!!"). I don't know if any of that helps or not. Tina Rod. ----- Original Message ----- I have a question for you all. How do you recognize the sigh? .. Each to their own, everyone's experience is different. :-) S
