Guest guest
This might have been talked about before, and if so I'm sorry... Currently at my agency we have a full time scheduling coordinator. We bid for new shifts every 6 months, so you know basically the hours/days you will be working. She also looks for over timers from other parts in the agency that have been trained in the Comm Center. She puts out a " seating book " which contains to legal size sheets for each day (1 days & 1 nights) She will place a new on out a week before the old seating book expires. The books are for a 3 or 4 week time frame. Just a brief FYI to help for my real question - The seating page has the names of the people working that night and the hours they are working. Out from that there are 6 blocks (each represent a 2 hr time frame). The supervisor will fill out the seating sheet for each day or night and assign members to certain radios, phones, TTY, breaks etc. and rotating so you are not in one position all night. Recently there has been some issues with " changes " showing up on the seating with people being removed, noted they are on time off, etc that has not been approved and unknown how it got there.... Does anyone out there have a program, database, or suggestions on a way to digitalize out seating's so that it will be viewable to the members so they can see their assignments or available overtime. Also, allowing for Supervisors & Management to make changes but noting who made the changes and when? I am working on a proposal for this but have hit a BIG brick wall... Each shift as roughly 19 people on. Thanks in advance! -- 911 Supervisor Florida **************Start the year off right.
