Concerns about the Appointments in Chhattisgarh AIDS Control Society

Chhattisgarh AIDS Control Society is making appointments for various posts.

The selection is being done by first taking exam followed by interview. The

exams for various posts were held on 2nd September 2008, the papers were

supposedly sent by NACO and were checked by people appointed by Chhattisgarh

SACS.

The results of the written examination has been declared today and is available

online on http://health.cg.gov.in/recruitment-27aug08.html.

The prima facie scrutiny of the interview list shows that for the maximum posts

the top First and Second Canidadates are those people who are already currently

employeed by Chhattisgarh SACS or who were ex-employees of Chhattisgarh SACS.

This raises concerns about the possibility of the SACS staff knowing the

question papers and the answers before appearing for the exam.

If the appointments are to be made in a transparent and honest maner then

appointments should invariably be done by external agencies especially for SACS

like Chhattisgarh which is already under CBI enquiry.

This would atleast ensure that honest and fair people come in the field of

HIV/AIDS whose intention is not to earn money from corruption but to work for

people.
