Guest guest
Hi, Jolie! My favourite neurologists over the years (many in my case, as I was diagnosed wMS for the first time when I was 19, and it has been reconfirmed so many times sinc then) have always been a bit "nutty," but smart and kind. The frist was Roy Swank, M.D., then at the University of Oregon Medica school in Portland, Oregon. He and the neuro-opthalmologist who diagnosed me were both hilarious--class acts. Then I had a series of rather normal but competent neurologists, and then came , M.D., in Oakland, CA, another class act. My friend, Edna, who has MS, and I both had him as our "neuro-guy" for many years--and to this day we do impersonations of him. Now I have Friedberg, M.D., in Berkeley, CA (the two cities are adjacent) and he sees each of his patients, and I am not kidding, with his dog, Buddy, a small Norwich Terrier. And Buddy's opinion counts! I do hope that in Billings, you can find someone, per haps a newcomer, but a good and reasonable neurologist to provide your care. You (as do we all) deserve the best. Love to you, Jolie, and keep us "in the loop," please.n To: MSersLife Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2008 11:02:04 AMSubject: Re: Funk/ gee, loss after loss, after loss/ love to you, Jolie! Thanks n!Always there with encouragement.I am in Billings MT. There are lots of neuros, I met most of them inmy diagnoses process. I just don't like their bedside manner. I amfor sure going to miss Dr. . They don't make many like him.Love to you all,Jolie
