Vacancy of Counselor for an IDU project in Bangalore

An international organisation is looking for a candidate for the position of a

'Counselor' in Bangalore for an IDU (Intravenous Drug Users) project funded by

the Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society

 

 

Responsibilities

Provide counseling sessions for the clients on risk reduction

Ensure clients in need of medical services are referred to the doctors

Responsible for maintenance of the Drop in centre

Ensure clients are enrolled.

Screening symptomatic TB clients and referral to TB DOTS program

Maintain complete confidentiality & anonymity of client data & services.

Maintain accurate & complete documentation of all counseling session. (Case

notes / MIS)

Maintain registers for tracking of clients and client information within

clinics.

 

Experience/Qualification

Masters in Counseling / Clinical Psychology / Social work.

Counseling experience minimum 1-2 years.

Should know to speak Kannada, Tamil & Telugu languages.
