Well, we are experiencing the calm before the storm. We are supposed toget somewhere between 6 and 12 inches of snow, beginning at 8am tomorrow. Then we will be hit with another snow on Sunday, for fewer inches, but for usin the lower Hudson Valley, NY, 6 inches is even considered significant- -ifit were to be as much as a foot...well, the kids would surely be happy! They are already 'banking' (no pun intended) on no school tomorrow, andhave a real cavalier attitude. I haven't been to my program all wk., due to this darn stomach bug, and it looks as if I may even miss tomorrow...but we'll see how hard the snow is coming down when it is time for me to head out. I wonder if they cancel this day treatment if the weather is bad enough..suppose just like the schools they must, as there are many that come via public transportation and vans and all...I'm looking forward to snuggling down, and pulling out the make your own gingerbread house I bought just for a snowy day before Christmas! The kids will have a blast! It has all the pre-made pieces...sorry, duh if I'm repeating myself on this already...the MS brain at work, as n says! I'll put the Christmas tunes on and maybe we'll bake some sugar cookies and peanut butter/hershey kiss cookies too... I have all the ingredients. ..Boy, I get inspired when it snows! love to all snow bunnies, and every one in our

Thanks for the weather update. Sounds like some bad weather back East. I'm scheduled to board the Amtrak train on Saturday to head for Chicago.

A suggestion, Kate: Please don't use that cursive font. It's kind of hard to read on the PC monitor. Thanks.Dan U dao_nguu@...

Thanks! Our biggest

worry is our water pipes – just got running water again Wed. after 4 days

without.

But I’ll be praying

for all the people and creatures who have no shelter from the horrible cold…

my sister Ellen keeps plastic bottles of water in the

freezer - keeps the freeser full and in the event of water

pipes going - unthaw the bottles - in cold weather it can

thaw in the garage

Well its l0 am here and 9 degrees F. High today maybe 22. All I

know is that my furnace has been running for an hour. I haven't even

turned it up yet. I set it at the lowest temp on the dial at night

and when I am gone for work , which is 50. At least yesterday my ex

came by and put the plastic up on the windows for me and finally got

up in the attic and spread out the insulation we had tossed up there

in rolls this summer, but I hadn't been able to get him to put it

down. My utility bill has been climbing the last couple of months,

without me using the furnace more than 30 minutes a day it jumped

$40. I know the blower is coming on more often even without turning

up the heat.

My last utility bill was $130 and I was cold a lot. But I have been

using the extra money I have set for utility bills (up to $250) to

pay off the dentist. I am hoping to keep my utility bills under 180

so I can get the dentist bill paid off in 5 more months.
