Guest guest
Zephyr~ It sounds like you are all doing well. You are right this is really a time of big adjustment for all of you. You do need to get out on your own so Skyler doesn't become totally dependent on you. Share some of the dependancy! Your hubby sounds like a sweetheart! What a wonderful, thoughtful gift, and then to come home with the food processor on top of it! Sometimes we need a little break, that way we can get right back op and hang in there. I know I am ready to get right back on after being derailed over the holidays. Take care! Lois
Guest guest
Zephyr, I am sooooo happy for you!!! I was crying just reading your post. Dh sounds sooo sweet!! You will settle into a routine once you get used to each other, but then something will happen and mess up your routine, then it will settle down again. I think once you have kids you never get to sleep a whole night again. LOL! But for every sleepless night you have thousands of wonderful moments that you wouldn't trade for the world!!!! Take care! Maureen > Clear Day > Hello Everyone, > > Baby was up for his 4 am feeding at 6 so I decided to just get up and finally get some computer time. I have not had much, I am sure I will settle into a routine soon once I get used to all of this. Things are going really well.!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a beautiful xmas did not want gifts as we have already been blessed with so much this year how could I possibly want or need more. Hubby thought I could use a pendant that represents the family, I think I cried for 2 hours, it meant so much to me that he would know how special that could be. Then 2 days after xmas he came home with a top of the line cuisinart food processor. I have always wanted one but could not justify the expense, he said it was for all of us and if we are a healthy family that cooks together then we need it. He is really an awesome daddy. He is getting up in the middle of the night and of the night and just really pitching in and doing everything he can to help. Friday night he made me go to a AA meeting. He said that it is really important for me to leave the house even if I do not want to. I did and was super glad I did. > > Yesterday I ventured out for the first time alone with Skyler. We went to drop off a bag of books and xmas cookies to his birth mom and then to visit grandpa who has been visiting each day with him. My best friend from Boston is coming today to visit for about a week and I can not wait. All 4 dogs are doing really well with the baby and are loving my being home as they do not have to go in their crate for part of the day anymore. > > I have been working from home about 1-2 hours a day and it is going really well. The clients that have come have been very pleased and have encouraged me to keep it up so I will continue to see how it goes and maybe only go back to work at the spa 2 days a week instead of 4. I am not binging which is good but have been making sandwiches for every meal and not worrying about the points. I also have not journaled. Today, I have vowed to journal. I am not beating myself up like I usually do either. I know this is an adjustment time and I will definitely be back on track and I have been doing this for 2 years so I know maybe I was ready for a little break. Anyway that break is coming to an end and now that I am beginning to get back into a routine I will now begin to get my food back into a routine. My hubby said to me last night that he wants to go to the meetings with me now. After 2 years of just following what I eat. That was super cool, I have watched him take gradual steps over the last tow years to change his habits and now this.Wow. > > Much love to all and thanks to those that stuck with this and read it until the end.
