Does anyone have a name of a > good RE in London? Hi , As far as I can make out, REs are not necessarily the people to see about MAs in the UK. If you are looking for someone in relation to your MA (rather than the endo), you could try Prof Lesley Reagan at St 's in Paddington, or Dr Davor Jurcovic at King's in South London (he also runs a private clinic in London, but I'd try to get a referral to King's because he is better equipped there). They seem to be the two who are doing research on MAs. You can search http://www.specialistinfo.com/ for info. on specialisation. You can also search http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed for any of any of their research articles. I was only diagnosed with an MA when already pregnant, so I don't have too much experience with dealing with them - I'm reasonably happy with the consultant looking after me at the Homerton. There is someone on the list, Tor, who is in the UK and has far more experience with drs and MAs in this country. I'm sure she'll be able help. Guest guest
Hi Judith Thank you for the link - it was v useful. In fact, I just spoke with my fertility doc this morning and he gave me a name, but I was able to get the contact details from the link you provided. Do you mind if I ask - what MA were you diagnosed with and how did your pregnancy go? Hi, I'm not sure yet what kind of an MA it is. I was first told that it was a partial SU, then that it might also be a BU, and one person said he tought it might be a UU with a rudimentary horn (all these assessments were made via U/S while pregnant). I'm 23 weeks tomorrow and all is fine. So far I only had one really scary moment when I was having cramps which seemed very strong at about 19weeks, but they turned out to be nothing sinister. Guest guest
Hi , I forgot to ask: whom were you referred to? (for future reference) Thanks, Judith
Guest guest
I was referred to Mr. D. K. () Edmonds at the Queen Charlotte Hospital. Haven't met with him as of yet but his name was mentioned to me by 2 separate people (a doctor and a patient). > Hi , > I forgot to ask: whom were you referred to?
