Guest guest Posted March 12, 2001 Report Share Posted March 12, 2001 CHICKEN SLOWPOKE2 carrots, pared and sliced2 stalks celery, sliced2 onions, peeled and sliced1 broiler-fryer chicken (2 - 3 lbs.) cut up2 t. salt1/4 t. pepper1 t. basil1/2 c. hot canned chicken brothLayer vegetables in bottom of crockpot. Arrange chicken pieces on top.Sprinkle with seasonings and pour broth over all. Cover and cook on low 6 -8 hours.
