Guest guest
Dear Forum members, Re: /message/9411 I think the ART centre nodal officer at JJH is trying to behave abnormally. Many of my patients have denied 2nd line ART on the similar ground that those patients were not her first line ART patients. Overall my interview with several HIV patients attending ART centers in Bombay have bitter experience and statement that the staff including medical doctor are not at all patient friendly. This is anticipated by me as I do not expect any courteous attitudes by public sector staff. I think NACO officials really need to, contact AIDS Society of India the official body and take their help advise which may not be according to their tune. The shortage of testing kits and some time ARV drug component is invariably seen. Is NACO committed to provide currently attending patients life long ARV ? Invariably presence of opportunistic infections amongst patients attending ART centers are missed with disastrous consequences Sincerely, Dr. J.K.Maniar, MD Consultant in HIV Medicine, Bombay. e-mail: <jkmaniar@...>
Guest guest
Dear Forum, Re: /message/9411 Greetings from Sudha ! This ref. to Dr.J.K.Maniar's posting on Supreme Court Notice: Denial of ART by JJ Hospita lfor Non Maharashtrians. In every ART Centre across the country only some Medical officers and staff are friendly with the patients. Most of the Doctors are not willing to be friendly with the patients. Because I dont know why they are treating like that, evern when they all are aware about HIV/AIDS. NACO,APSACS give trainings for Doctors those who are working on HIV/AIDS. But till now they behave like same onld manner. Every Doctor should leave self stigma. Most of the patients suffer unfriendly Doctors and the environment they create in the ART Centers than HIV.
