Guest guest
I am in desperate need of a syrup my little one can have on his GFCF waffles! It is one of a handful of items he will eat since starting the diet 3 weeks ago. I have been giving him standard Log Cabin every morning, but I just read a post stating something about " no syrup " . Is there anything? Guest guest
, If you are fighting the yeast/sugar problem with your child as well as the gfcf, I suggest that you make your own syrup by using 100% vegetable glycerin mixed with a small amount of pure maple flavoring (not extract). We generally use 1 cup glycerin to about 1 tsp. maple flavor (more or less depending on your taste requirement). Some health food stores and/or herbal stores carry or can order the products for you. You can also order direct from Frontier products. Their website is www.frontiercoop.com. Their phone number is 1- 7am-6pm Central Time. Good Luck!! Guest guest
Syrup is okay, unless you are fighting yeast. Some syrups are not gfcf (I think caramel coloring may be the problem ingredient), I don't know about Log Cabin. We use pure maple syrup - it's more expensive, but we don't have to worry about mysterious ingredients. in CA mom to Gage, age
