Guest guest Posted February 3, 2009 Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 " Comprehensive Institutional care, training & research program " , IRT Perundurai Medical College hospital, Erode DT, Tamilnadu, supported by the APACVHS project IRT Perundurai Medical College, Perundurai, Erode District , as a model centre for provision of high quality clinical care, training and clinical research in Tamilnadu since early 90s. We had our collaboration with APACVHS, Chennai in the PLHIV care and support from 2006. For our new initiative to develop a public private model on " Comprehensive Institutional care, training & research program " , we are running this project from Feb 2009. Goal of IRT PMCH -APAC project: Establishment of a well integrated clinical facilities for provision of high quality clinical care for PLHA and develop a band of self sustained faculty to provide high training for medics & paramedics. This project is developed from the experiences and lessons drawn from pilot project and past experience with PLHA care, and are built upon their strengths. Applications are invited for the following position at IRT PMCH, Perundurai, Erode district. Applications would be scrutinized and eligible candidates would be called for interview at IRT PMCH. The Dean, IRT PMC will appoint project staff following the interview. Filled in applications to reach the Dean's office, IRT PMC on or before 10th Feb, Following the interview the selected candidates (date of interview could be from 11to14th Feb) would be expected to join duty by Feb 14th 2009. 1. Consultant (Quality assurance protocol development)-1 (Full time /part time) Period: Three months • Discussion with the Core Committee ,IRT PMC regarding the development of protocol for good clinical practice • Meeting with the all departments regarding developing the Quality assurance protocol • Exploring different levels of Quality assurance and standards • Developing the draft protocol • Formulating other supportive documents and templates •Developing the final Quality assurance Protocol and Templates Qualifications: Masters Degree in social sciences with field experiences, good track record in the HIV/AIDS care, Basic computer knowledge, good Interpersonal skills. The person should have at least 2 of experience in the field of Quality control and assurance and should be able work under an institution for developing the protocol 2. Consultant for training curriculum review -1 (part time) Period : 2 months • Developing the final curriculum for all training Primary Duties • The consultant will be responsible for the review of existing curriculum and the manuals • He /she will be responsible for coordinating with all the departments to assess the training needs and contents of the curriculum • He/ She will be responsible for modifying and reframing the curriculum • He/ She will be responsible for formulating the other IEC materials that will be used for the training programs • The consultant will also coordinate with the team and will finalize the participant and the facilitator manual • The consultant who be responsible for preparing the reports for all the materials and documents • The consultant will also be responsible for formulating all the Pre and post test evaluation forms • Developing the draft training curriculum • Formulating other supportive documents and templates for the various training programs as per need of the project Qualifications: Masters degree in Medicine preferably with social / management background, with excellent computer skills; excellent training coordination skills & Good interpersonal skills. With a minimum of 3 yr experience in developing protocol and other IEC materials based on HIV/AIDS . The person should be experienced in developing Training curriculum and IEC materials for Health related programs . The person should have at least 10 of experience in the field of PLHA care and training and should be able work under an institution for developing the curriculum. 3. Consultant for Institutional Review Board-1 (Full time /part time) Period: One year Primary duties: • He/She is the prime Research coordinator & the M & E person for the Research project • He/She will be responsible for reviewing the research protocol submitted by the research team • Submitting the research proposal to the IRB for approval • Approval of ongoing projects • Close out report of the project • Arranging the IRB meeting • Finalizing the agenda • Inviting the IRB members • Coordinating the meeting • Documentation of the IRB meeting • Training the research team on GCP and Ethics Qualifications: Masters degree preferably with social sector background, with excellent computer skills; excellent research coordination skills & Good interpersonal skills. The person should have 2 - 3ys experience in Research fields. The person should have adequate knowledge about both Social and clinical research. The person should have worked on HIV related research areas 4. Consultant for Resource mobilisation-1(Full time /part time) Period: Eight months Primary duties • Mapping the eligible Resource providers • Conducting meetings with the Resource providers • Exploring other aspects of Resource mobilization • Arranging Conference or other CME program in coordination with the Training team • Establish referral linkages with TNSACS C & S partners for support services for PLHA. • Conducting Meeting with the Media personnel's • Arranging for Weekly talk shows and publications of News editions • Assess the PLHA for free treatment & referral to ART centers • He will hold the private hospital, networking with NGOs, other will have the Corporate sector coordination meetings & FBO coordination meetings & camp related activities with PRO ,IRT PMC • He will arrange weekly review, nutritional meetings, monthly meetings, bimonthly coordination for effective coordination, with consultant IRB • He with consultant IRB need to document all data ,best practices as per project needs • Both have to interact with all the project staff for effective network activities within the project Qualifications: Masters Degree in social sciences/ marketing / resource mobilization with field experiences, Basic computer knowledge, good Interpersonal skills. The person should have 2-3 yr experience in the field of Marketing and Human resources managements. He should have a track record of mobilizing resources in his/ her previous work place 5. Project Assistant cum Accountant-1 no (Full time) Period: one year Primary duties: • Duties would be allocated by the PCO on a monthly basis. • She/He has to maintain all the financial transactions records and keep them in order. • Maintain staff attendance/ leave particulars • Provide administrative support to all program activities • Provide support to the training coordinator during training programs • Monitor stocks Qualifications: Basic qualification in accountancy, knowledge in type writing English/Tamil, computer skills; Have basic knowledge/interest in HIV/AIDS; Good interpersonal skills. Should have at least 2 - 3yr experience in handling Health Related Programs and accounts related to it 6. Peer counselors -2 (one male/one female) ( Full time) Period: one year Primary duties: • Primarily he/she has to provide psychosocial care for the PLHAs need and assess them, counsel the supportive family members /relatives • He/ she have to emphasis the partner notification and treatment. • Must go on a need basis to the homes of PLHA for providing home based counseling. • Conduct nutrition counseling for the inpatient and out patient • Liaison with the district level positive network for demand generation for the care program. • Ensure PLHA follow-up services at the home & community level • Emphasis on the mental health of PLHA through spiritual care, life style modification, yoga, meditation & positive living concept • Documenting case studies • Collection & reporting of data pertaining to counseling of PLHA to data entry operators Qualifications: Basic education with counseling skills. PLHAs will alone be provided opportunity. They must have skills & broad-minded attitude to work with the PLHA & Health care providers. Knowledge in computer, type writing skills will be an added advantage. The person should have 2 – 3yr experience in the field of HIV as counselor and should be able to work under the Health related programs 7. Data entry operators - 2 Nos (Full time) Period: one year Primary duties: • She/he has to document all the data in the IRT PMC – OP /IP/MRD including the program related activities. • Recording all the IP/OP patient details - daily • Patient IP/OP data –daily • Patient investigations (CD4 & routine test) , surgery detail – daily • ICTC/VCTC data • No. of Referrals to Private Hospitals, NGOs, Networks, RNTCP and others - daily • No. of Referrals to IRT-Perundurai Medical College from Private Hospitals, NGOs, Networks, RNTCP and others – daily • Summarize all the above reports on Monthly basis Qualifications: Basic degree qualification ,Higher in both in type writing Tamil / English, accounts, computer MS- OFFICE, programming skills are desirable ; Have knowledge/interest in HIV/AIDS; Good interpersonal Skills are required.
