Guest guest
Hi everyone, This sounds dumb, but it's the weirdest habit and I'm wondering if anyone else has this... If I fall asleep on the couch and then I wake up, ready to go to bed at night, I eat something first. I'm half asleep and do a 'mini-binge' if you will and grab for whatever is close by and tastiest and horf it down then go to bed. Of course the solution is I go to bed instead of falling asleep on the couch lol! However, I was curious if anyone else does this or has heard of someone doing this? It's the weirdest thing, I feel half-asleep when I do it, so it's like I'm 'brain dead' and eating lol!
Guest guest
Hmm. Just recently I saw a show about sleep eating. Where was that? These people had vague recollections of doing it, or none at all. Maybe that’s what you’re doing? It’s considered a sleep disorder. I really can’t remember where I saw this at all. Maybe I was sleep watching tv. J Dianna Weird habit I have...can anyone relate? Hi everyone, This sounds dumb, but it's the weirdest habit and I'm wondering if anyone else has this... Guest guest
I don't do that but I can relate. When I have a nap during the day I usually wake up nauseous and end up eating just to try and make that go away! Basically a mini-binge. Maybe it's the same sort of thing?? spirituallygiving wrote: Hi everyone,This sounds dumb, but it's the weirdest habit and I'm wondering if anyone else has this...If I fall asleep on the couch and then I wake up, ready to go to bed at night, I eat something first. Guest guest
I did this, too... I think I did it because in a twisted diet-mind reasoning sort of way it was a " safe " time. Since I had already fallen asleep, my previous " diet day " was over, and since it wasn't yet morning, the new " diet day " hadn't started yet. Middle of the night doesn't count! Guest guest
That's not something I can totally relate to, but what it brought up for me was the possibility of an 'associated' action? As an example - as a kid when I came home from school I was always given a snack. So its no surprise that I often feel 'hungry' about 3 PM. Can you think of any event/relationship with food associated with bedtime/sleeping? Just a thought. - Katcha > > Hi everyone, > > This sounds dumb, but it's the weirdest habit and I'm wondering if > anyone else has this... > > If I fall asleep on the couch and then I wake up, ready to go to bed at > night, I eat something first. Guest guest
Hi Katcha, Hmmm....well I used to have a snack before bed, so maybe that's it. As a kid I always had a snack and then went to bed, so maybe! > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > This sounds dumb, but it's the weirdest habit and I'm wondering if > > anyone else has this... > > > > If I fall asleep on the couch and then I wake up, ready to go to bed at > > night, I eat something first. Guest guest
just a thought here, but when we wake after a little sleep we feel groggy and a little lifeless. is it your automatic thought to turn to the fridge to help combat this feeling.
