Hey group, it sounds like some of us are very frustrated and having a

difficult time right now. I would like to lovingly give some advice that

is not intended for no one person. If your having a hard time coping

with everyday life, you might want to try the herb ST 's Wort. This

supplement has done wonders for me. It stopped my anxiety attacks and I

am a much nicer person now. It also does wonders for my sometimes

grouchy husband. It is a mood enhancer, has no side affects and very

inexpensive. We have got to take care of ourselves also. There will

always be those parents who simply ship the kids off to the special

classes and expect the school to do the rest. Never pushing for more

never trying any interventions. Never doing the things that we do. But

we shouldn't condemn them for their short comings. Some families work

long hours, have other children, no support from spouse or family

members, have a limited income, do not have internet access, have not

educated themselves about autism, doesn't realize how the school system

really works, believes what the doctors tells them or maybe they really

believe that nothing they do will change their child. What ever their

reason, it is unfortunate for that child. And there is probably not much

we could say to change this. If we put ourselves in these shoes, could

we do as much for our children? I am not taking sides here. At first I

was also angry with such people. But then I realized that I needed all

the energy I had to handle my own problems. I couldn't afford to waist

an ounce of energy elsewhere. When I quit worrying about everyone else I

could see that I was helping the other children. By studying the laws

an getting needed training and equipment in the school for my child the

others would benefit also. By discussing progress from the use of

supplements and diet with my sons teacher, she could pass along the

information. By providing information about autism and different

teaching strategies form the internet the teacher could use on all the

students. I applaud all of you for doing whatever interventions you do.

It is hard work and we do not get enough credit. We do not get the

support we need. Some of us don't even get hugs from our children. But

if there was ever anything worth fighting for in this world, this is it!

And no madder how hard we work, we know it is worth it or we wouldn't be

doing it. If nobody ever tells you what a great parent you are then tell

yourself over and over because you know it is true. If your doing all

you can for your child, then what more should be expected. So take care

of yourselves, fight one battle at a time, don't try to fix the world,

stand your ground, don't waist your energy on negative people, be

strong, be proud, and give yourself a big hug. LETS HERE IT FOR US!!!!!

And don't forget we need each other.
