Wow, Vicki...yes, I had some of that, but the

Gottron's are pretty much gone...one or two small ones

remain, and there's a few other " things " that are

curious...maybe a muscle or nerve that is hard

like...difficult to describe. But otherwise, my rash

looks just like her hands.

Did you read the little caption underneath it? It said that other

rashes have more reddness.... so you have DM !!!! LOL See, that wasn't

so hard to diagnose you... <smile>

Gosh Lynn... after reading that post I just sent out... I didn't mean

" Did you read..... " That didn't come out right... sorry, again I blame

it on the swollen brain!

Wow...this hand could be my daughter Shelby's hand.

I also noticed tonight that her eyelids near her eyelashes are

pretty violet colored. Not sure that I've ever noticed it

before, maybe that's what they always look like.

I'm getting increasingly paranoid about taking her off the Pred.

I'll feel better once her lab tests are back. Yikes.

Sara,

's eyelids became purple also. He had an open lesion on one eyelid

that we just couldn't get to heal. His Dr. suggest OTC Bacitracin and that

did the job in just a few days. That lesion scarred but it is a positive

reminder of how far we've come.

We weaned very, very, very slowly off of the Pred. He took his last

dose last May 30th. I felt like I was sending him out in the world with no

defense, but he was on such a low dose by that time that his Dr. said the

only thing we were medicating was her and I. LOL.

and his sisters had strep throat this last week. My Shelby missed 5

days of school. She was quite sick. All 3 of the kids broke out in a strep

related rash. This is the first time has gotten sick since going off

of Pred. He seems to have fought the virus off, but time will tell.
