World AIDS Day 2008 Commemorations

Dear FORUM,

You will be happy to know that World AIDS Day 2008 was widely

commemorated across the country, several of them at sub-district levels.

More than 140 events were reported on the WORLD AIDS DAY 2008

site www.worldaidsday.org.in which has been set-up by the " NGO Gateway "

www.ngogateway.org as a participatory space to

aggregate all the World AIDS Day commemorations across the country.

Organizations that commemorated World AIDS Day 2008 are requested to

upload reports & photos of their events on www.worldaidsday.org.in

UNAIDS through the NGO gateway will identify and felicitate ten organizations

for their excellent contribution & best commemoration of World AIDS Day 2008 on

the basis of the reports & photos shared by them.

Some organisations have shared that they are facing difficulties while

uploading pictures & videos as they are too large in size. We would

therefore like to request you to please e-mail / courier the materials

so that we can get it uploaded for you. Kindly send us the materials

before January 31, 2009. The selection of ten best commemorations will be done

in the first week of February 2009.
