Guest guest
Hi I have just come accross this group and joined straight away as it sounds just like what I need! I am 32 and have been TTC for 2 years now and was just diagnosed via hysteroscopy with endometriosis as well as an SU back in August. I had the endo treated surgically (at the same time) but was not convinced about having the septoscopy to reshape my uterus - seemed like a fairly traumatic type of surgery, so I passed on it. I am now in the middle of an IVF cycle at the moment, advised by my fertility doctor as he suggested the endo was more the likely cause of my infertility, not the SU, and the endo would come back within about 4 months. I was happy with that as I feel ready to go through with the IVF and my husband is supportive. However, after doing some more research it seems that a miscarriage is a big risk for me as I have the SU. Can anyone give me a sense of how big the risk of miscarriage is if I get pregnant? Am I wasting my IVF cycle? It is not covered by insurance so it is expensive. Should I be looking at the surgery before going through with this IVF cycle? Sorry for the long note, be very grateful for any feedback or thoughts.
