Dear members

It is for your kind information about the unbelievable situation which was

happened in a meeting organized by Social Awareness Social Services (SASO). The

meeting participants were representatives from Clinton Foundation, India

HIV/AIDS  Alliance, Chief Functionaries of the NGOs who are working in the field

of care and support of CLHAs and PLHAs in Manipur.

The meeting was initiated by Ms. Supriti Chakraborty, Programme Manager (Care

and Support), Clinton Foundation, New Delhi and she gives two options to the PAI

partners who are under the Clinton Foundation that partners (NGOs) who are not

capable to look after their CLHAs after the project period (June, 09) should

transfer to the CHAHA progamme under the India HIV/AIDS Alliance. Her body

gesture and speech shows undesirable to the members of the meeting.

In the situation confrontation was being started upon her and she directed to

get out who were not interested in the meeting and having any personal

appointment.

At the moment all the NGOs representatives  was leaving the meeting spot and

call an emergency meeting based on the attitude of Ms Supriti Chakraborty,

Pogramme Manager, Clinton Foundation. New Delh.

Ms. Supriti Chakraborty does not have any right to speak such un-authority

responsible.

An emergency meeting of the Manipur NGOs Forum of PAI was held on 17/01/2009 at

the conference hall of  Manipur Voluntary Health Association. The following

resolution was adopted unanimously by the members present.

Resolution Number I  : The Manipur  NGOs Forum of PAI appreciate and welcome

the handing over of the programme to the India HIV/AIDS Alliance (CHAHA project)

by Clinton Foundation.

Resolution Number 2 : It was resolved that all the PAI NGOS partners of the

Clinton Foundation should be integrated under the CHAHA programme . However if

all the partners are not integrated in the CHAHA programme then all PAI partners

unanimously resolved that the proposal (transferring of children to CHAHA

programme) will not be accepted.

Resolution Number 3 : The Chief Functionaries of  NGOs attending the meeting

held on 16/01/2009 at SASO conference hall were disheartened the way in which

the meeting was conducted by Ms Supriti Chakraborty, Programme Manager (Care &

Support), Clinton Foundation, New Delhi  and felt that it was not befitting for

her of such position and responsibilities. So, all the partners of the forum

strongly condemn her.
