Guest guest
I apologize I don't remember seeing that in the research I've done. What does it stand for and is it too much sugar in the bloodstream the only thing that causes it? _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of dave Bond Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2008 6:33 AM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: feeling great at a slightly high bg level? I lived my diabetic life based on feelings for the first 20 years, and the price I had to pay was to lose my sight and develop ckd. The meter is a diabetics best friend, well, next to insulin, and it will tell the real story. Never rely on feelings. Many times over the years, I have thought I " felt " low, or high, only to perform a check and see I was wrong. For the most part now, I in fact can tell if my bg is out of range because I have become accustomed to it being pretty close to normal. I can tell if I am high, usually, which means over 180 or there abouts, and I can tell when I hit 50 on the low side. I usually don't " feel " too much when I am between those numbers. Dave feeling great at a slightly high bg level? I check my bg before lunch and it was 170 and I just knew it was in the 90s. However, it felt like it was going to be much lower than 170. Do some people just feel more comfortable with a slightly high level? Just curious.
