Guest guest
Thank you for the warm welcome. I don't want to bore anyone but got the diagnosis on Valentine's Day, most ppl get chocolates or flowers! I broke my foot in Jan so am off work with that, and although I have problems walking, am using crutches to get around, I do not plan to quit work. Treatment won't be until at least Mar since my neuro is away for Feb. I was a bit shocked with it all since I'm now 51. It has been 2 yrs of tests tho to get here. Guest guest
Hi Connie:How did you break your foot? Was it related to MS balance problems perhaps? Sorry to hear you got an MS dx for Valentine's Day. Lousy, huh? I can't remember who it was got their MS dx on their birthday. Some stupid gift I say. LOLWhat kind of symptoms do you have? How long do you think you have had MS? I was diagnosed in 1998 when I was 47 but looking back my first major attack was when I was 18. Through the years I had sciatica (was told by docs I was 'too young' for it , leg pain, dizzy spells... stuff like that. Then I had a major attack in 1997 leading to my dx the next year. What part of BC? I drove through BC twice. Once when we moved to Alaska and then when we moved back. BC was beautiful but I have said I would never, ever drive through Canada again. It was such a long drive--especially from Arizona. hugs))Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Hi We are babysitting my daughter's dog, I gave him a bone, he sat down, he's a big dog, and I thought I was going to step on him and guess overstepped, could be the balance but that night the walking wasn't too terrible. My symptoms basically are pain in the neck, back and the hip shifts out all the time, then the leg wouldn't co-operate, now it's the leg can't lift backward to my bum if you know what I mean? I can lift it a bit but not much so I have a pretty awkward gait and balance issues. I really don't know how long I've had it, although the neuro said I've probably had it for awhile, with the back issues and when I pulled the gate it just sent it in a downward spiral that I could no longer compensate for, he figures I've been compensating awhile. I really had no idea I'd get diagnosed at 51, always thought it was a younger disease, guess not, but then maybe I've had it a long time too. I live in the interior, actually it's closer to the US border from my home than it is to town:) That would be a very long drive. My one daughter and her BF went to Mexico for the winter in Oct, and drove, like you say a very long drive~ hugs Connie S Hi Connie:How did you break your foot? Guest guest
It is quite the auspicious day for me, I also, on April Fools day, found out I was pregnant with my first and only child...at age 42!!! He is 10 now, I'm 53. We have about 1' of snow that has been here since Dec., waiting for the next storm to blow in, presumably tonight and/or tomorrow. Guest guest
hi connie,my name is annette stange, is your last name stang by any chance? i was 42 when i was diagnosed, when my late-life baby was two. her name is lily and my 24 yr. old son's name is david. anyway, i am new here also, but have been posting a lot since the beginning. when you read the posts you'll see why it is so comfortable to post. people are very kind and understanding of any problem you might have. also, they are FUNNY! btw, i write in lower caps because i also have rheumatoid arthritis and it hurts to use the shift key all the time. i write in big letters because my eyesight isn't what it could be, and in color because i like it! welcome again, annetteConnie wrote: Hi We are babysitting my daughter's dog, I gave him a bone, he sat down, he's a big dog, and I thought I was going to step on him and guess overstepped, could be the balance but that night the walking wasn't too terrible.
