Guest guest
Hey Cheryl, keep the faith. I'd say something stupid like " you can do it " and " just post little reminders on the refrigerator about your goal " but I know these dumb tricks don't work because I've done them all! At least this time you know the goal you are trying to reach isn't out of reach and it is attainable. The goal is only one small part of the whole picture and it will be easier after that. Your fiancé will be back in week. We can do this together. Keep posting and we'll keep responding. Guest guest
This reminds me of the problems I had with my son. He was around 2 years old when they diagnosed him as being growth hormone deficient. They suspected it at 6 months but they couldn't test him. Why? Because he was too small and his veins were too small to draw blood from. They had to wait for him to get bigger to find out why he wasn't getting any bigger (?!) You have to lose weight so you can have an operation to lose weight. As crazy as some things seem, it always works out in the end. Have patience, you'll get there. I am here if you need some cheering up :-) T

Guest guest
I meant the chat room - I assume we will do this on this list rather than the old one? Joyce New! Guest guest
Please, no! I'm not volunteering for anything! I'd just gone to the egroups NCT-coffee page and found a list of members. I liked the idea of being able to see who's listening (as you would at a 'real' coffee morning) - whether or not they want to introduce themselves. In fact, there were lists of subscribers available in Announce, Research, BFC and PNDL (I checked because I was researching the subject, not just being nosey, honest), but not the mainlist. I don't understand - just commenting :-) ... and definitely *not* volunteering for anything .... Guest guest
I'm a 64 year old grandmother who is need of some type of support during my journey of " Intuitive Eating " . Today will be my first day of NOT dieting. I have gained a lot of weight during these past 13 years. My whole life changed during these years. I lost both my parents, quit work to raise a grandson after all of our children were out of the house, and became a " real " grandmother to triplets five years ago. I have been using the loss of my parents and being back in the world of children as an excuse to eat large amounts of both healthy foods and sweets. The result is that I have read every diet book and tried numerous diets to lose weight. The more I diet....the more I gain weight. I am so tired of obsessing about food. I am very hopeful this new approach will work for me. I would like to hear about the struggles and successes other people have experienced while following the concept of intuitive eating. Thanks, Anne B.
