Guest guest
Hi everyone - It's a new year and we are re-evaluating how we market to the doctors. I wanted to get everyone's onpinions on what has been your most effective marketing strategy. What has worked? What hasn't? Would really appreciate your opinions! Guest guest
Last year, our staff decided to visit the medical staff in their clinics to first thank them for their referrals, then provide information on a couple highlighted services, then ask for suggestions to improve communication between providers and therapists. We received really good suggestions, most can be acted upon, even! We are tracking referrals by providers and also for specific populations. This year's targets are pre-surgical osteoarthritis and pelvic floor/pelvic pain dysfunction, to monitor for increased referrals. By the way, we do not bring food. We speak to an entire staff including nurses and beg for 10 minutes of their time. Our dept has a " marketing team " to visit providers according to the clinic's meeting schedules. We are also trying to instill in our staff, word of mouth marketing to our current patients, offering to assess other musculoskeletal problems they may be having before they are discharged from their current episode of care. Trying to get them thinking that if they had another problem, they should seek us out for assistance, or give them advice/treatment ideas now. Guest guest
Beyond introducing youselves, I would focus on your hitting your established results hard. All referrers want their patients to get expert care in the most effective manner. Highlight EB approaches, outcomes, function, cost-savings through intense case management, etc. Since most patients have an element of pain, keep track of your successes: " 97% of our patients. Experience pain reduction by the second visit " or whichever. I think the medical environment has become more demanding and more sophistcated over the years that " Hi, I & #39;m Bob from X PT located in X town and we & #39;d really appreciate your referrals... " won & #39;t work. Response is in general and not referring to any former post in this thread.
