Guest guest
Hi, I realize this is a " re-post " , and I am certainly not SELLING this stuff, but there is absolutely NO " fishy " or bad flavor to this CLO at all, just a *slight* lemon flavor. We get it through our physician's office, who by the way treats many autistic children and they did a LOT of research before they found this brand because it IS so hard to get into our kids! The bottle says it is distributed by: J.R. Carlson Laboratories, Inc. Arlington Hts, IL 60004-1985 The CLO itself is manufactured and bottled in Norway. The bottle also says: " Carlson Cod Liver Oil comes from the livers of fresh cod fish found in the North Atlantic waters in Norway. Only codfish caught during the winter and early spring are used as the liver oil content is highest at this time of year. The oil is separated from the liver tissues without the use of chemicals. To insure the freshness of the oil, the air inside the bottle is replaced with nitrogen. " I put my son's dosage in baby food sweet potatoes, and it is not even NOTICEABLE. Hope this helps (I feel sorry for kids having to take all this stuff, too!), Darla In a message dated 7/9/2000 1:49:12 PM Central Daylight Time, GFCFKidsegroups writes: << Message: 6 Date: Sun, 9 Jul 2000 09:58:33 -0500 Subject: CLO For those of you who are having a horrible time getting your child to take this, I discovered a way to disquise the fishy taste. My son will not swallow capsules, and I feel guilty squirting CLO in his mouth, since its enough to make me want to throw up. However, I have been trying different things to cover the flavor of the fish. Today I took Frontier Peppermint flavoring and added a few drops to two squeezed out capsules from Kirkmans. I tasted it, and the dh tasted it and we could not taste the fish, only the peppermint. I than mixed it in with the rest of his supplements and put it in a syringe and squirted it in his mouth. I still hate doing this, but at least the taste is not gagging. Hope it works for others. a >>
