There is no 'sign up' per se. You simply start using the codes when you

submit your claims and as long as you hit the minimum % of the claims for

the year you will get a check sometime in the next year. We have been

participating since the inception--and it's been pretty nice to get that

'bonus' check--usually in August or September.

PQRS SIGN UP HELP

Hi!

We participated in an APTA CMS Update. Very good, but we didn't get much

information on getting signed up with CMS' PQRS Program. I looked at the

website and was totally lost. Does anyone have any idea how we can get

signed up as a small group (6 physical therapists and 1 occupational

therapist).

Thanks

Hi Peg,

I'm the office manager for JCPT ( ), which are the codes we need to submit

and if you could please direct me where to look them up that would be great.

Thank you,

All you have to do is include the codes on your billing HCFA with the eval

dates of service and re-eval dates of service. You don't need to sign up.

As long as you report on at least 80% or better of your MC patients, you

qualify for the incentive. We use the fall risk high (1100F) or low

(1101F), fall assessment (3288F) and pain assessment (G8508 for no) (G8440

for yes) on everyone, and for high fall risk we include fall plan of care

(0518F). Not sure if any changes for 2011, didn't think so, but there may

be other applicable screens that can be included that were added. We have

the codes programmed into our billing CPT codes and my biller adds them for

all MC evals and re-evals as directed, we have them listed on our superbill

to be checked off.
