Guest guest
Don't know aobut medicare, but I bought mine for $85.00. Surprise bill for Prodigy Voice Well, the bill for my Prodigy Voice arrived today, and to say I was surprised may be an understatement! I'm on Medicare living in the US, and my insurance plan has a deductible, but my costs end up over $200! My wife put the bill away so I don't have the exact numbers handy, but there were essentially 2 big charges to Medicare--one over $600 and the other over $800. Now, I check 8 times per day and received a 90-day supply of strips, so if that happened to be the larger cost, I am appalled that the other cost (over $600) is an acceptable charge to Medicare for this meter. If I had known I was going to pay this much for it, I would have purchased it at the cost people were talking about of around $80 at one point. This was the company called something like American Home Health Care, and I will probably not be doing any further business with them. I'm curious about what others have had to pay out of pocket as well as what Medicare was billed. Guest guest
Medicare bought me the Autocode last year and I did not have to pay anything. Also, I personally purchased the Voice from Advanced Medical in Florida and paid $53 for it. I have paid nothing for the strips as Medicare paid for everything. I don't know what Advanced Medical charged them, however. Guest guest
Start by contacting the company that over charged you in the first place, and inform them of the error, and what you intend to do if it is not corrected.
