Dan has a good point. This is a common problem on all lists, and I am as guilty

as the next. Let's try to snip off most of the old messages that do accumulate

and cause problems for those who may be reading via digest mode. Also, if you

change the direction of a discussion, please also change the subject line to

reflect this change. Thanks.

Question and Suggestion, for moderators

Now that we have in principle active moderation of the list,

can one task they assume be to keep an eye on posting trains. The current

thread of the subject line now drags a dozen or more old posts in some

forms of it.

Please only include the specific message to which replying, better still in

a sentence or two set the context for your post and toss the old messages

entirely.
