Call the student loan people and tell them you are disabled now and can't work any longer. I had a student loan, too, and it was forgiven. They will send you a form to have your doctor fill out and return to them. Don't stress about this, Cassy. I think Challis will send some information about what bill collectors can do and what rights you have. But I know you can tell them not to call you again. Hi guys!I have a couple questions im hoping you can help

with.Well,today I got a call for an old credit card I had back in 99.I

owe 1800$ and the guy that called me said that if I dont pay 160$ a

mon.that it will go to the IRS and they will consider it as $ I have

spent.He says hes not sure what they will do.But I have no source of

income,so,do you think the IRS would take the $ from my ssdi and ssi

once I do recieve it?

One more question. I havnt paid my student loan and am wondering if

they can take my $ from ssdi and ssi for that as well??Any help would

be so appreciated. I know this all sounds bad but once I got sick I

couldnt go back to work and havnt recieved any child support for my

oldest and Rene is on un-

employment.Its jus been 1 thing after

another.But id just hate if they ended up taking all my $ that would

I disagree. A student loan is different than the regular creditors. You don't want a government loan hanging over your head especially since they will forgive the loan for someone who is disabled. My loan was forgiven before I ever was approved for SSDI. All I had to do was get a form from them for your doctor to fill in. Easy. hugs))Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Hi Sharon! Thanks again! I will have to call them. It is through Sally

Mae but I think now is in the collectors hands. Not sure who though,

think the loan dept. Can help with that? It would be very nice if it

could be removed. I would be so so grateful! Thanks for all the advice
