CMS definition of a 7 day a week therapy vs 5 days a week facility

There have been many interpretations of CMS' new 3.0 rules. One that I am

looking  for concrete info(if concrete info can be had with CMS' gray rules) is

regarding the EOT and when you begin  day 1 EOT.  I work for several providers

and each interpret the " providing 7 day a week therapy " differently. Some say

that if you provide therapy in any instances on a Sat or Sun, that facility

provides 7 days a week therapy services. Others say that if you provide a Sat

treatment for missed minutes or for staffing purposes AND all orders are written

5x a week, the facility is not labeled as  a provider of 7 day a week therapy.

This argument comes about when determining day 1 after EOT--especially if EOT is

on a Friday.

Any feedback????

Many instances of coccyx pain are the result of referred pain from the QL,

lumbar multifidi, gluteus max, etc., especially if the history reveals no

direct traumatic impact and an insidious onset. In those cases, I would

recommend using dry needling of the respective trigger points in these

muscles, or manual trigger point release.
