Guest guest
IE has been a pure godsend for me. Gone is the anxiety about what to eat & when to eat it. Food is becoming my friend after years of an adversarial relationship with anything not labeled " sguar-free " or " fat-free " . However, I'm a bit troubled. Following the guidelines of " eat when hungry, stop when no longer hungry " I find myself eating relatively little compared to other people and compared to prior " diet " levels of calories. I'm deliberately not tracking calories nor monitoring anything elase like carbs, etc. but it still doesn't seem like much for a guy my size (6'3 " , 240 lbs., approx. 18% bf). And, yes, the weight is dropping steadily. And no, I don't deprive myself. I just make sure that it's stomach hunger and not mouth hunger. I strength train about 3 times a week and run approx. 2.5 miles / day and my performance hasn't been suffering. I'm just afraid that I'm jacking around with my metabolism (which is probably already jacked around with by years of dieting). What I'm hoping to hear is that my body will let me know if I need to eat more & that I should just shut up and trust it (lol). Anyone else in this boat?
