Guest guest
My sister had severe, chronic canker sores all of her life. At age 40, she started exhibiting severe allergic reactions to citrus fruits (facial/mouth swelling, stomach pain, diarrhea). Upon removing citrus completely from her diet, the canker sores went away and she hasn't had another one since then (5 years). At age 4, my son started to get severe. chronic canker sores. We had an IgG done when he was 5 1/2 and found he was allergic to citrus. Since removing citrus fruits from his diet (a year ago), he hasn't had another canker sore (it also improved the quality of his stool--less diarrhea). Take a look at this website (you have to scroll down past the part about fever blisters): http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov/cic_text/health/fever-blister/fever-canker.html - Becky B.
