Correct coding is somewhat of a science. But the current codes are

currently used in billing for lymphedema management ( as these are

subject to interpretation by various payers, you should be aware that

the interpretation of these codes by various payers might vary.

Timed codes: 97001 PT eval

Therapy codes: 97140 Manual therapy techniques 15 min increments.

Depending on the condition the MLD

portion of the tx may last between 30 mins to one hour.

I often use this for compression

dressing application as it is a manual skill

97530 Therapeutic activities 15 min increments

Dynamic activities to improve

functional performance

97110 Therapeutic procedure 15 min

Strengthen and ROM and flexibility

97535 Self care/ADL

Pt education for teaching self

wrapping and activity guidelines

97750 Physical Performance test

Volumetric measurements

97504 Orthotic Fitting and training

Garment measurements

97039 Unlisted therapeutic procedures

Skin Care
