Guest guest
It's too bad. Just in the last batch of mail, I saw two off-topic admonitions regarding mail. That is exactly twice the number of that type of message I have seen in the year and a half I have been on this list. I'd say the trend doesn't look good. Perhaps we did better without moderation. Guest guest
It's kind of a double edge sword; the list had been set up so that new subscribers had to be approved. This ended up causing delays sometimes, so we changed that so that new members are subscribed immediately. Unfortunately, this can result in some spammers posting before they can be removed. Thanks for your kind words Ruth. Dave Admin Messages It's too bad. Just in the last batch of mail, I saw two off-topic admonitions regarding mail. Guest guest
Hi Dave, I believe there is a setting that makes is so the first few (maybe five?) posts from new members have to be moderated, and after that they are set to unmoderated status. That is, unless Yahoo Groups has changed their system and taken this feature away, but I had several lists set up like this when I was a moderator.
