Guest guest
Just another .02 from where I stand on this issue: Don't we all pretty much agree that the whole society can't stop being immunized at the same time? If there are susceptible kids whose moms are on welfare, there should be an " escape clause " for them to avoid immunizations, like we have found for our kids who are susceptible to autism or other things. But, in general, do we really want a whole segment of society, be they rich, poor, or in-between, foregoing vaccinations? Isn't the protection that your unvaccinated child has from, for example, pertussis, predicated on the majority of parents allowing the pertussis vaccine to be given? I realize there is a lot of work to be done on vaccinations in this country, but stopping all of them outright (or encouraging others to do so) has never crossed my mind. Sincerely, M.
