Guest guest
Someone stopped me from stepping on the scale today. Call it my guardian angel, my Higher Power, my Better Self, whatever. I take a walk break at work most mornings, going down to the small workout room in the building. I normally have the place to myself except for a few people who pop in to use the bathroom (more private than the communal one upstairs in the office). After I finished on the treadmill I was thinking about stepping on the scale, even though doing that threw me for a loop just 5 days ago when I did it. I entered the bathroom stall (gotta lose a few more ounces, donchaknow) and when I stepped out there was someone already on the scale. A rail- thin glamorous coworker that I have seen in the hallways and tried not to envy. Suddenly, I was feeling so protective of her - like " Don't do that to yourself! " and realized that's what I needed someone to say to me. Hopefully that Someone will be there again the next time the urge to weigh hits me :-)
