Guest guest
Hi, Brad - A lot depends upon which type of Medicare Provider your practice is. IF you are a PTPP ( " physical therapist in private practice " ) which is different from an ORF ( " outpatient rehabilitation agency " ) then you may only provide PT, and not OT. IF you are an ORF, a CORF, a HHA, a SNF, a Hospital, a school, a Hospice, or a few more types, you may provide OT. Since OT is a different profession from PT, an OT in Private practice (OTPP) would be appropriate for the OT to own. All of your third party contracts would need to be renegotiated to ensure that they will pay for these services. Hope that helps a bit. She has worked for a home health agency but not for a private practice (Medicare). Can someone advise me which Medicare froms need to be filled out to have her added as provider with my practice? I know at least CMS855R (Reassignment of Benefits). Will we also need CMS 855I (Individual PhySiCianS and non-PhySiCian PraCtitionErS) and 558 (Electronic fund Transfer)?
