Guest guest
Good morning all. For those of you who offer outpatient speech therapy services in your clinics - what is a typical length of an outpatient episode of care (ie: 8 visits, 12 visits?). I am aware that most of the codes used are untimed codes - so how long does an average session take? Looking at the facility-based fee schedule for these codes, it is hard to imagine that outpatient speech therapy could be operated on a break-even basis. Is this a service that typically shows a loss? Thank you in advance for your responses. Proffitt, PT Hospital-based Massillon, Ohio
