Guest guest
Hi Jeff, Medicare requires direct supervision i.e. in the same office suite but not in the same room for the PT in Private Practice setting, for all other outpatient settings, Rehab Agency, CORF etc. it is general supervision. Private Practice has the most stringent supervision requirements for Medicare. ine ine M. o, PT, MCSP Owner Encompass Consulting & Education, LLC 8114 NW 100th Terrace, Tamarac, FL 33321-1259 We work hard to make sure you are " getting it right from the start " . Does anybody know what the Medicare requirements are for supervision of PTAs in an outpatient setting. I know my Texas state practce act requires " PT to be a phone call away " , but am being told by others that Medicare requires on site supervision by the PT of a PTA...I have not been able to find this in Medicare regarding..please help if you know. This will impact hiring of PT vs PTA. Thanks. Jeff Borcik, PT.
