Guest guest
To send an Email to one person you have to thave their independent Email address. If you put on your JAWS cursor, you can arrow key up or down tot the place where it says who the Email is from and get their Email address that way. How long ago did you see your Rehab instructor? Maybe he/she have learned how to use JAWS by now! Is he/she willing to come to your house to show you some independent living skills? I used to do that before retiring. A color detector is a great thing and the idea from about pinning your socks together is what I do too. Re: new member Kay, I live in Monticello, Iowa. I would love to take a few courses online. I took some courses at Kirkwood when I could still see a little. I couldn't read the testbooks and such, but I had a personthat read from the books on to tapes for me. I was on the Deans list as long as i was there. I did two years before I had to give it up,and would love to get started again. Thanks for your help with this info. I think I would like to take a couple of computer courses first. I just know the basics now. Enough to browse the web and E mail. I had to pretty much teach myself. My vocational rehab instructtor was just learning how to use JAWS too,so he wasn't much help. A lot of times I was teaching him,LOL. I'm getting the hang of it pretty well I think. The computer is the only thing that keeps me from going completely bonkers during the day while my husband is working. A Question???? How do you match your clothes??? My husband always waits till we get out of the car to go in somewhere before he notices I have a stain on my shirt or a tear.LOL I hate that.LOL A lot of times I have two different color socks on. Ha! What a goof! Started just buying white socks. Easy fix.LOL Another question??... how do you send an E mail to just one person??? Well, enough blabbering from me.LOL. Take Care and I hope to hear from you soon!! Carel new member Hi, everyone. I'm Carel or talkietalkie talk. I am 48,blind for 4 years, no longer a diabetic thanks to a kidney pancreas transplant. Rod,My husb and works long hours and I spend most of my time alone and need something to do. I used to be an artist, drawing, painting, and crafting things, now I don't know what to do. So, anyone wants to help me out mail me.I'd prefer to get advice from women of my own age group, but any age is OK. Or if you just want to talk, that's good too. P.S. Guest guest
There is also a system called Match Makers which are safety pins with a plastic thing attached to each pin. Each pin has one, two, three, or four dots so that you can make a code for yourself. For example, pins with one dot ccan mean white, two for blue, etc. You can use more than one pin in a clothing item to enable you to have more than four combinations. Carel, it really sounds like you need to get in touch with rehab services in your community. There is a lot they can teach you about daily living. There are color identifiers on the market, also bar code readers, which can help with labeling. I use safety pins for my socks, shirts and so on! With the socks, you can pin them together at the toes for blue, heels for black, at the top for white and so on! The pins go through the wash and dry, and saves having to sort them all of the time! By pinning them together, you will see that the washer will stop stealing your ox, because they only like to steal singles!! LOL! Shirts, pants and alike, placing a little safety pin in different locations can help you identify. new member Hi, everyone. I'm Carel or talkietalkie talk.
