Guest guest
I have not accessed the list serve for a while so apologize if this topic has been discussed recently. I am investigating payment structures that are based on producitivity and am curious if anyone in a hospital based outpatient setting uses any form of pay for productivity model, and if so what metrics you are using to measure productivity and what model are you using. Related to this topic, historically, our culture has been to not go to the point of actually letting someone go who is chronically not meeting productivity benchmarks. Strategies of coaching, performance imporvement plans, process review etc. have all been done, but not to the point of actual termination of employment. I would be interested in knowing other's strategies in managing this component of performance and if you have ended the employment of a therapist solely due to productivity issues.
