I use the PT-Me Android App (for PC phones) for patients pre and post rehab for

reference, education, and compliance with their HEP. Don't currently use WebPT.

Don't have an iPhone or iPad. PT-Me will eventually land on the iPad hopefully.

Thanks,

Brett

Is Web PT the best for the I pad, I don't know because I have not tried any

others but Web PT is very slow to load evaluations and such on the I pad.

Sometimes it takes up to 2 minutes to load an eval on the I pad, and 30

seconds or so to change pages. This becomes very frustrating during an eval

and I usually resort to taking paper notes then putting in the system at a

later time which defeats the purpose for me. I understand that Web Pt is

doing some pretty major upgrades right now and hopefully this will be

addressed in these updates. Web PT is much faster on a desk top computer

and I have not tried it on a traditional Lap top yet.

As for Web PT as a whole, the jury is still out for me, we have only used it

for a month and their are a lot of things I really like about it and some

things I do not.

I found 's note about PT Me interesting. As I was checking it out on

Google and Bing, I noticed something I found very disturbing. Somehow

Android PT-Me has access to Facebook and has the ability to locate and

reproduce the searcher's Facebook photo? I had not been asked for any info.

I was not signed into Facebook at the time, yet there it was. This alone

would keep me from using it for patient use of any kind. As therapists, we

need to be diligent about how we access information and share with our

patients.

We have 3 clinics with at least 1 PT 1PTA at each and we just use a paper flow

Yes, it's possible. WebPT has a built in flow sheet and the ability to scan and

upload scripts, films and other relevant info to be completely paperless. I have

just found that the speed with ease of use of the included flow sheet is not as

fast for us with our practice. The latest update they did, however, does make it

faster and the sheet itself flows very well. Hope that helps

I am puzzled with the focus on the flow sheet component in Web PT.

According to APTA defensible documentation guidelines, physical therapy

notes should focus on functional outcomes rather than spend significant time

entering data (for example; resistance/reps/time). The charts are great,

but the more useful measurements are related to distance walked

in....minutes or our patient's ability to raise their arm to dress

themselves. We do need to measure ROM, strength, etc, but in a more

efficient way. Most importantly, we need to relate it to functional goals.

If we are going to spend time and money converting to electronic

documentation, we need to be sure we are spending both wisely.

Yes Quick EMR is solid and affordable. Frequent downtime from the servers

though. Typical outages are less than a minute. Since this is my first EMR I'm

What you have stated is correct.  However, some third party payers also require

that your documentation match the services you are billing.  Without a flow

sheet, it is difficult to demonstrate that.

Who has a clinic with more than 1 PT that is using Web PT and would be

willing to give me some of your time. We migrated over to WebPT and the

flow sheet component of the daily note is taking more time than we expected.
