I am a very small speech therapy clinic. We also offer OT. I have many

questions, having been in business for a few years. I am in a rural community

the only ST/OT. We contract with schools. My questions are as follows:

What are the limitations to contacting a therapist? Do you just pay for the

therapy services but allow them to use your supplies?

Can you contract your office staff?

When do you go to salary or hourly pay?

I would love to be able to get advice from experienced PP owners, as I am

limited in my area. The areas around me usually do not want to share

info...don't know if they are afraid of competition but the closest place is 45

min away.

I serve 99% tncare patients, many of which will NS or call 10 min b/f tx and cx.

Does anyone have a policy they would be willing to share with me. I realize

many are on a limited budget but with contract therapist that can interfere with

their day.

What productivy rate do most PP require when paying hourly?

I am concerned my CPA is not familiar with all the questions I may have and I

sure do not want to do anything to go against IRS.

If anyone would be willing to give me any advice on running a PP or paperwork,

policies, job descriptions, etc. I woul love the help. This is getting harder

and harder every day it goes by. This has always been a dream of mine. If I am

not here to serve this population, I am the only ST in 2 counties, so where

would they go. With most of my pt's having limited funds and with gas prices,

where would they go.

I am sure I will have more questions but any help would be greatly

appreciated!!!!!!!

Thank you all. I learn something everyday I read the post, but I really need

help with my questions.
