Guest guest
Matt, You make my point. You can understand and support the needs of the clinic and the individuals in them without working performing the duties of a staff person. Nothing wrong with doing so but my point is that it is not necessary to be a good and effective manager. BTW- I do work with patients for my own sanitybecause its what I am as a PT. Marc Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Should therapy admin staff must carry % patient load ? A small facility. We planing to have two therapy teams and two administrators overseeing these teams. Both therapy teams have staff strength around 9-12 including PTs, OTs, STs and assistants. My questions to the group... In these days of decreasing reimbursements and " do more with less " Is it justified to have full time administrative staff with no patient care responsibilities ? Is it a reasonable expectation for administrative/supervisory staff to carry a 25-50% patient care load ? Specially if the teams are relatively small. More importantly, is there an Industry standard or statistic that can be referred to, to justify that administrative staff must carry a compulsory patient load .. and what is the average percentage of case load that administrative/supervisory staff must carry ? Guest guest
Kudos to you Matt, a man who's willing to get his hands dirty to get the job done. You're what is known as ... a leader! Unfortunately, you may be a dying breed as well. Where's your sense of entitlement, man?;-) If you ever decide to change careers and get into politics, I'd vote for you. Goodness knows you're sure to surpass most of what we have in Washington now including the clowns vying for the presidency. , PT, OCS Marquette, MI Should therapy admin staff must carry % patient load ? Guest guest
Hi All, Â My personal philosophy is to do whatever needs to be done to keep my dept. up and running. I always say that I can wear any hat from a manager to janitor to keep my dept. running. At the end of the day, one has to be happy and fulfilled... Everyone has a style that they are comfortable with. Â Pam Eluri, PT,MS To: PTManager Sent: Friday, July 22, 2011 11:02 PM Subject: Re: Should therapy admin staff must carry % patient load ?
