Guest guest
My PT staff receives a bonus (into their IRA) for every pay period where their productive time is 80% or greater. The 80% is calculated on total work time minus scheduled meetings and documentation time. I suspect that this scenario is exceptionally generous however I want to check with you all to see your standards, as well as how much scheduled documentation time you provide, in-services, PT meetings, etc. During the average full time week, each PT receives: 45 minutes of documentation time per day (everyone works four 10-hr days) 1 hour of journal club every 6 weeks One hour in-service every 6 weeks one 1/2 hr. clinician meeting every week our average ns/cx rate is 10%. IF A RESIDENT/MENTEE: one additional .75 hr. meeting/week That comes up to 6.8 to 7.55 hours per week of non-billable time. I am curious to see if this is above/below or on par with what your standards are in your private outpatient PT practice.
