Guest guest
Group, Does anyone have documentation of exactly what level of supervision a DPT (new grad 2010) with a temp. license requires? Must it be on site supervision at all times or is it OK to have licensed PT " on call " and available. We are located in NY state and up until this time have not had a problem always having a licensed PT on site. (We have 3 PT's and 2 PTA's) in our SNF/ Rehab. I have not been able find much guidance from the NYAPTA website. I know that about a year ago I needed this same info regarding an OTR with a temp license and the NYAOTA, DID answer me and stated that general supervision was required and that requirement could be met with a licensed OTR available by phone. I would appreciate any help or guidance! We have a one day period when we may not have a PT onsite due to a vacation day off and an impending birth!! Thank you in advance.
